The habitation la Mahaudière was a sugar refinery where slaves worked. Nowadays, the only things that remain of the habitation are the remains of the mill, the chimney of the sugar factory and one section of the master’s house. The habitation la Mahaudière is part of the track "La Route de L'esclave” (the slave track), organised by the General Council of Guadeloupe.
