Historical overview: 

Created in March 2010, the KRIKE aims to be "an tool for raising awareness and aspirations, a springboard” in order to encourage the reflection on what the Cafre identity is. Through several activities, KRIKE intends to bring the people of la Réunion together and create a social bond.

The activities proposed by KRIKE include:

  • Hiking all year long
  • Salsa dance classes, bachatale
  • Practice of Afro gym
  • Extracurricular activities all week long
  • Fight against illiteracy
Summary of objectives: 
  • To gather and meet in order to discuss and initiate a reflection process about the Cafre identity
  • To liberate Cafre people from their self-taught fatalism, isolation, and marginalisation
  • To create a social bond, which is a factor of integration and self-confidence
