Summary of objectives: 

At the time of its creation in 1999, the objectives of Gens de la Caraïbe are the promotion and diffusion of all information concerning the economic, cultural, institutional and academic activities of the Hispanic, English and Creole-speaking French Caribbean.

In March 2009, the association added to its objectives:

  • Information, publishing and creation of databases through the publishing and distribution of documents and information materials for professionals and the general public
  • To coordinate a network of professionals and individuals for the promotion of the flow of information
