Summary of objectives: 

The objectives of the Fédération Européenne des Outremers are as follows:

  • To promote, enhance and defend the interests and demands of all persons or entities that originate and/or share an interest relating to the historical, cultural, economic and social specificities of the outermost regions, overseas countries and territories of France
  • To fight against racism and all forms of discrimination, harassment, insults, defamation against people from the outermost regions, overseas countries and territories of France
  • To fight against racism and help the victims of discrimination based on their national, ethnic, racial, religious or sexual orientation
  • To exercise the rights granted to the plaintiff relating to, on the one hand, the discrimination punished by the articles 225-2 and 432-7 of the Criminal Code and the adoption or preservation of cases punished through Article 226- 19 of the same code; and on the other hand, wilful attacks on life and personal integrity, threats, robbery, extortion and destruction, defacement and damage that have been committed against a person due to their national origin, real or perceived belonging or non-belonging to an ethnic group, race, religion or sexual orientation
  • To defend and promote the identity and culture of the outermost regions, overseas countries and territories of France
  • Any activities aimed at defending and promoting the economic actors of the outermost regions, overseas countries and territories of France
  • To defend the memory of significant historical figures from the overseas, especially those who faithfully served France
  • To defend the memory of slaves and honour their descendants
  • To organise commemorative or educational events
  • To organise or coordinate local, national or international events commemorating slavery and its abolition.
