Founded by Kapet Bana, the Conseil Mondial de la Diaspora Panafricaine (C.M.D.P.) fights for the rehabilitation of the dignity of the victims of enslavement and the slave trade, colonisation and the neo-colonial dictatorship, and reconstruction of the affected societies.
In a press release (published on 2nd December 2000), the C.M.D.P. (published on 2nd December 2000), le C.M.D.P. stated that 'Representatives who speak for the peoples of the African diaspora and the Black world, collectively reunited in their search for ways to rehabilitate the violated dignity of the populations who fell victim to slavery, the slave trade, colonialism and neo-colonial dictatorships; having assessed the effects of the European wars and the consequences of global genocides, the roots causes of development blockage and the emancipation of the dispossessed and marginalised people of Africa, have proclaimed their faith and determination to work to ensure that steps are taken everywhere and by everyone to promote the reinstatement of justice and reparation for the prejudices suffered'.
Kapet Bana passed away on 15th September 2015. In November 2015, the association Transmettre la Mémoire de Kapet de Bana (TMKB) was created to continue this work.
The objective of the Conseil Mondial de la Diaspora Panafricaine (C.M.D.P.) is to be a humanitarian association based on solidarity and cooperation.
