National: A large-scale organization or association with branches in more than one region and whose influence reaches beyond its local/regional context.
Historical overview: 

Since its creation in 1987, the CERFOM aims to distribute reflection and analysis texts on current topics to its members and supporters. CERFOM organises exhibitions, demonstrations, conferences and debates, which brings new elements of information and reflection to the members of the community on cultural, economic and social topics. CERFOM also offers written works on topical issues which are primarily destined to its members, but can also be addressed to the high state authorities in some cases.

Summary of objectives: 
  • To study, research, explore and develop every opportunity that will further the intellectual, cultural and moral thriving of the Black community
  • To explore and encourage every initiative galvanising the capacity to invent, create and rally men and women of the Black community
  • To study the situations and events that directly affect black community immigrants in order to foster their familial and social integration
  • To develop cultural exchanges by participating in local, national and international manifestations
  • To explore any possibility that would be likely to bring together associations pursuing the same goal
