The objectives of the association Bobo Shanty are as follows:

  • To promote the lifestyle and teachings related to the Order of Bobo Shanty; that is, the teachings of the Afro-Jamaican leader Marcus Mosiah Garvey, the founder of the 'Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress' (EABIC) Emmanuel Charles Edwards, the Emperor of Ethiopia Haile Salassié and his Empress Woizero Menen
  • To provide financial and material assistance to the EABIC 
  • To redeem the land of Ethiopia (the term 'Ethiopia' referring to and including the African continent as a whole) and the Black People of the Diaspora
  • To obtain Freedom, Redemption and Repatriation to the Mother Africa of all Black People, named sons of African slaves, now dispersed throughout the western world because of slavery and the inhuman and cruel slave trade, who wish to return home and work for the development of Mother Africa
  • To help the needy by providing food and monetary contributions to the poor.
