Summary of objectives:
At the time of its creation in 2009, the objective of the association Victor Schoelcher 27 was to participate in any activity related to the memory work on slavery.
In 2012, the association redefined its objectives, adding the following:
- Memory work on slavery
- Reflection on the history of the transatlantic slave trade and slavery until their abolitions
- Reflecting on their different causes throughout the dark ages of humanity
- The Christiane Taubira law no. 2001-434 voted on 10th May 2001, which recognises the transatlantic slave trade and the slavery that ensued as a crime against humanity.
