Summary of objectives:
The objectives of Conscience are as follows:
- To fight against injustice and racism and all their consequences; and, by raising awareness, to encourage a change in mentalities to bring about beneficial changes in society so that all people are better understood regardless of their nationalities and origins
- To intervene in the political debate in order to raise awareness for a better understanding between all people, and fight against all injustice in society
- To teach about the history of Africa in order to raise awareness among young people from African countries about their history and their values, and thereby free them from any complex that prevents them from fully participating in society and that will allow them to become worthy and responsible persons
- To create exhibitions and debates on slavery, colonisation and neo-colonisation and their historical legacies in order to fight against the injustices of history, and to fight against the complex and harmful consequences that they caused
- To fight against unemployment by training young people to enable them to take responsibility in the development of society
- To conduct visits to hospitals to comfort patients suffering from serious diseases, especially those from overseas who receive no help and no visiters
- To help with overall reintegration
- To develop financial projects to provide individual care
- To inform people about their rights and duties with respect to the law
- To intervene when their rights are violated
- To create a legal group to manage problematic situations
- To fight against injustice
- To help people in irregular situations with resettlement in their countries of origin
- To help young people from foreign countries that are attracted by the mirage of immigration to carry out at home the beneficial development projects for their country and their society
- To fight against illiteracy
- To establish (basic) training in order to fight against school failure and give young people the tools that will help them to realise their projects
- To fight against drugs, alcoholism and all forms of dependency that prevent individuals from flourishing and fulfilling their role in society
- To teach the basics of the various major religions in order to avoid fanaticism and violence caused by a misunderstanding of religion, and to allow the respect of anyone’s religious convictions
- To edit newspapers in order to inform members and the public, to deepen the various activities of the association and to create a debate for positive change in society
